City administration collects over 77 mln br revenue

Bahir Dar city administration has disclosed it has collected over 77 million birr revenue in the past half budget year alone.
Addisu Bele, office head says that in the half budget year they planned to collect around 55 million birr from direct and indirect tax sources, city leased land, trade and other sources but achieved over 77 million birr.
Out of these about 35 million birr is the state’s share while the remaining 39 million birr is town’s share, says Addisu.
Addisu says “, When compared to the previous year’s the money exceeds by over 36 million birr.”
Application of quick tax collecting system is said to be the main cause to achieving more than its plan, it was learned.
