Amhara sate revenue authority disclosed it has collected over 506 million birr in the past half budget year alone.

The authority collected the stated sum from direct and indirect tax and other income titles, Asmamaw Maru, authority head, said.

The head says that when compared to the same period last year the amount exceeds by 46 pc.

Implementation of BPR, well-organized tax collecting system and tax payers’ awareness towards taxpaying are said to be among contributing factors to the success, says Asmamaw.
