Micro and small-scale enterprises (MSEs) operating in Gedeo Zone, SNNP Regional State invested over 26 million Br in the zone, said the Zonal Administration. Urbanised youths in particular, who are organised in various associations, were able to win awards at the state level. Some youth and town residents from different parts of the zone have since become self-employed, owing to the financial and technical assistance offered by the state government, said the deputy chief of the administration. The youth have registered remarkable achievements in housing development, cobblestone and alley construction, and other petty trades during the last five years, he said.
